Are you enjoying your training and wish to take it to the next level by starting to compete?
At IMC we have a pathway with several options to test your skills against all different levels of Martial Artists whether it be locally, nationally, or internationally!
·Internal Competition
Each year we allow students to get a feel for competition by entering IMC-only tournaments. These include both in-house (at IMC Kemps Creek) and interclub (all of the IMC clubs) tournaments. These events are an excellent opportunity for students to start competing in a comfortable, safe, and familiar environment against students they may be familiar with and refereed by instructors they know. All students should start here to gauge whether they are ready for the next level.
·ISKA Tournaments
ISKA (International Sports Karate/Kickboxing Association) is a regulated combat sports body that hosts tournaments for those looking to compete against students from other clubs. There are tournaments held around Australia, including several in Sydney each year that award points for wins and places. The tournaments are open to everyone and give a real sense of the competitive arena.

·Ring Fights
Certain students may be offered the opportunity to compete in Ring Fights sanctioned by fight promoters around the country. In IMC these are considered invitation only to those excelling in class training and tournaments. We have had students compete in Boxing, K1 Kickboxing, MMA, and Muay Thai in various promotions.
·ISKA Australia International Representation
Competitors that qualify by top-ranking in their age categories in ISKA may be invited to represent Australia during international tours to compete in ISKA events around the globe! Recent ISKA Australia tours that have featured IMC students have traveled to the USA, New Zealand, Jamaica, Thailand, Greece, Belarus, and Germany!
